WHAT IS A PATTERN BLOCK?

This product is a sewing pattern block, also known as a sloper: a template you can use as the starting point for garment construction and your own designs.

Use the featured design by adding your preferred seam allowances, or copy and manipulate the block to develop your own trouser variations.

Seam allowances, sewing instructions and cutting instructions are not included. Knowledge of garment construction is required.

The projector file is locked against printing and is intended for projector use only. All pattern pieces are also included in the printable files.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS

Choose medium-light to medium-weight woven fabrics, such as:

• Cotton twill
• Gabardine
• Ripstop
• Lightweight denim
• Cotton poplin
• Nylon or Taslan
• Cotton drill
• Linen blends
• Technical woven fabrics

Non-stretch woven fabrics or woven fabrics with a small amount of stretch are recommended. This block is not designed for knitted or highly stretchy fabrics.

Your fabric choice will influence the finished silhouette: a firmer woven fabric creates a more structured balloon shape, while a softer fabric gives a more fluid result.

PRINTING GUIDANCE

Print the A4 or US Letter files at 100% scale, without “Fit to page” or resizing. Check the test square before printing the complete pattern.

For large-format printing, send the A0 file to a copy shop and request printing at 100% scale.

We recommend opening the PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer or laptop.
